The team focusing on internet of things and measurement and control technology
Professor Lian Xiaoqin and Chen Tianhua are the academic leaders of our team. Under the instruction of them, we have been always focusing on the combination of information technology and computer technology. In terms of that, we have many advantages which are interdisciplinary research, multi-method and technology integration, so that we are able to solve issues in the fields of measurement and control based on internet of things (IOT) and information processing.
Our team has been responsible for the 11th Five-Year National Science and Technology projects, Beijing Natural Science Foundation projects, 20 national and provincial projects, as well as more than 30 cooperation projects. The research results have been widely used in many enterprises, and achieved remarkable economic and social benefits.
In recent years, we applied for 6 invention patents and 5 utility model patents, respectively, 3 and 5 of them have been granted. Admittedly, more than 100 papers from our team have been published on professional academic journals or international academic conferences, of which more than 50 were included by EI or SCI.
There are two main research directions in our team, as follows.
1. Internet of things.
We have researched the core technology in this field, mastering the technology of internet, cloud computing, telecommunication and sensor. We have already applied these technology in various areas, such as intelligent building, intelligent transportation, smart home, application of renewable resources, medical instruments and equipment, e.g.
Moreover, our team completed a number of projects based on IOT, such as renewable resources and building integration remote monitoring system, the research of optimization control of the output power in photovoltaic power generation system under complex conditions, design and implementation of intelligent kitchen system, parking space detection system for parking lot, design of electrical monitoring system, remote control system of JLG-C based on cloud platform, knowledge management system and open service platform of government information. In the areas of light industry, renewable resources and smart city, we realized energy saving, environmental protection, information sharing and intensive management based on IOT.
2. Signal and image processing
We have researched new processing algorithms in the aspects of image and video signal, biomedical signal, speech signal, time series analysis and so on. A number of application results have been achieved in image reconstruction, machine vision, image compression and encoding and video encoding.
We have finished plenty of projects whose names are food identification in smart kitchen, video encoding and compression algorithm based on DSP, intelligent patient monitoring system, intelligent automatic blood coagulation instrument control system, unsafe behavior video monitoring and online analysis system in mines and wells.
